Corolla, NC:
I was woken up late last night by loud thunder. Although the storm came from SSW, this warm weather pattern allowed the wind to switch and come out of the North at 33 mph. You can tell by the pictures that surface conditions are choppy and wave height is thigh to waist, but there is no definition to the sections. NOTE: GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE A GREAT GIFT. Corolla, NC:
Nice way to celebrate the 1st day of spring. I took these pictures in front of my home break with an incoming tide. Wave height is waist to chest and the wind is off-shore out of the WSW. Since I have snapped the pics, the sun has come out which has pushed the air temps up to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. My recommendation is to watch your favorite sandbar and see how it is breaking. Hey waist high, off-shore and 60 degrees: NOTE: COROLLA SURF SHOP IS LOOKING FOR A FEMALE SALES ASSOCIATE TO WORK IN OUR STORE THIS SUMMER. Corolla, NC:
Conditions are slowly starting to clean up. Wave height has dropped from overhead to about head high. More importantly, wind speed has dropped which is helping surface conditions. Our best recommendation is wait a day. The forecast is for an off-shore wind within 24 to 36 hours. It is still rough surface conditions due to an side-shore ENE wind: NOTE: COMING DOWN FOR PRING BREAK? WE RENT FULL SUITS, BOOTS, GLOVES AND HOODS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
