What happened to Thursday's wave!!!

I was over here salivating over the thought of getting some clean wave on Thursday. Then all of a sudden the winds go west. Is this west wind going to dominate or will it vary at different times of the day?

Please swell info make the winds go north again!!!!!!!

I'll give you 2 options:

Take a short drive down to Jersey or hope those winds go more NW - keep an eye on those updates!

The NOAA forecast for the Long Beach area is saying that the winds are going to be NNW-NW in the AM, WNW in the early PM and full West in the late PM.

Who knows?

I'm not too crazy about WNW, either but I'll take it over full West winds, any time.

Is it these nutty Midwest storm systems coming in and moving offshore over and over causing this? The winds supposedly are then going back offshore for Friday AM, and then full West again in the PM.

Hope you guys got wet this morning. I surfed in Western LI from 6:45-10am and it was alot of fun. The tide was a bit high, but made the bigger sets open up a little more. Was a bit inconsistent but super fun on the sets.

Tomorow morning should be small, clean, and fun. I think I'm gonna take my log and fish with me and decide when I get there. Woo hoo!
