weekend confusion!!

i had definitely thought this weekend would of been amaazing with the head high waves forecasted for the nj area. but now the peak is a waist high wave? im not sure if it might be bigger or what...anybody have any thoughts???

What location are you looking at?
All the new jersey forecasts are calling for waist range with sets up to chest high.

overall, it doesn't look like that impressive a system - real short period and a lot of the energy is going to pass by us on the way to NY - due to all of the SW in the swell direction.

Sunday morning is looking best for NJ with the projected light offshore winds. Unfortunately high tide is also first thing in the morning, so that could be problem, but hopefully it wont slow things down too much.

A clean waist/chest high wave would feel pretty good right now.
brobavly will be good on the open sandbars on LBI....

Bring both, can't hurt to, and just decide when you get there.

I don't think its gonna be any massive surf. But combining MSW and this surf forecast. I'm picturing small clean fun waves Sunday morning. S with a touch of E swell coming in with slight offshores for NJ. I'm talking early Sunday though... like 6-7 AM
