well florida takes the prize for good looking conditions for the upcoming bertha swell.
A lot of areas to the north are going to have to deal with a lot of onshore stuff.
Many areas in florida are looking at excellent conditions - have fun.

That would be a world record holder if true... All other WR Tigers came from Oz... There'd be pictures and news if it were true. I know , I know, i know about the one from Millenium, but that werent no 14er.
I smell Crowd Control.

There aren't any 14 ft Tiger Sharks 100 yds off the shore in Florida, and I have never seen them not being there while I was surfing. I also happen to know that spinner sharks do not frequent the space-coast, and neither do bull sharks. At no point have sharks ever come within 200 yards of any surfers in the water. Sharks think most surfers are dolphins because surfers and dolphins have similarly-sized brains. We all know that sharks and dolphins don't mix. Add to that the well known FACT that shark attacks only happen to people who surf MY BREAK and aren't LOCAL... right?
Anyway, it looks like the best surf is going to be right off Ron-Jon's. It's going to be glassy and barreling there. Choppy everywhere north of cocoa, and flat everywhere south. Drive down 520 and you should be alright ;)
Happy Hurricane Season!

Go surf Cocoa Pier... and North of there. Please... with all thousand other doods. If you do happen to hit CoBe- don't go visit Wal-Jon or Ron-Mart; spend your money with the locals who really care, really ride, and hook everyone up who walks through the Door. CAPE SURF!!! Just up the street (North fool!) a bit in Canaveral on the east side. Look for a decked out Surf Hearse and boards all over the parking lot.
THAT is where you spend your dollars on wax and whattev. Keep it local, its my home shop away from home shop.

Brother, I heard it was outstanding! Never made it all the way up... Stopped in CoBe during that mad afternoon lightning extravaganza, (good idea.) Decided to Grab some Taco City for lunch, (BAD idea.) Checked out back and saw BOMBS going off! Glassy, peeling, overhead+ BOMBS!!! (VERY good idea!!!) Hit up My usual spot while it was still raining and jumped in. Stayed fairly empty even after it cleared up and rode all the way through sun down. Screamed for mercy from the burrito gods as my ass couldn't take it any more.
Word of advice: only grab an "Hombre" from Taco City if you DON'T plan on getting in the water for the rest of the day. Ever try getting shacked while sharting?

yea the session after the thunderstorms saturday was by far the best of the weekend. caught some good ones yesterday during the rain at canova park as well before heading back south to lake delray. overall great weekend, could have used a few less closeouts

If you think I was being serious then please... go shop Ron-Jons. Get a $40 T-Shirt and put some more "One of a Kind" stickers all over your cars. Then stand on the beach and try to look cool with a surfboard. They'll love you for it. SERIOUSLY.
Two sessions on my home break Friday morning and just before sunset, and another session at Mel Beach Saturday morning... Both mornings were glassy and Saturdays bigger swell with offshore winds would have been perfect if not for the current. W00T!

i couldn't make it to JAX until late saturday night, but damn... even sunday morning was good... surfed at the park on A1A just south of jax... it looked like freaking lower tressles...
if you waited (about 20 friggin minutes) for a big set you could seriously do 12-15 turns on one wave.... that **** was insane.

damn i really should have not mentioned that. maybe everyone would have gone south. it was ALL closeouts north of the inlet, with the inlet closing out quickly 75% of the time. I woke up to my beloved boardwalk MOBBED with people. seriously, at 8am there must have been 200 people spread out from watson to just south of wendy's...go sandbar searching people! the boardwalk was nothing special!

Yeah, cape surf is the Local's version of "Ron Jon's" for cocoa beachers. They have a great staff and they're not going to rip you off like Ron Jon's. Ocean Sports world, and quiet flight are good too.
But yeah, the surf during bertha was awesome. Perfect glass and about chest high, what mroe could a cocoa beach local want!?
