What happened to the montauk swells??

Montauk was amazing for the past 3 weeks but now all of a sudden the biggest surf is a knee high swell. does anyone know when the waves should get bigger?

think of the last 3 weeks abnormal for Montauk in July. Flatness is not uncommon for this time of the year, but hopefully the tropics get going again.

I don't know but the the forecast looks depressing! Best July I've ever seen 2008!
