So whats up with this low pressure system for this weekend? I heard the Weather Channel say "beach erosion will be a factor for the Carolinas due to pounding surf" this weekend! Any chance the surf will be bigger than whats forcasted now?

Looks like a big NE, pressure gradient due to a high and low squeezing heavy winds and surf towards the coast. Not sure, def. looks like fairly strong NE though.

Def bflyod. just saw a thing on WC saying OBX north wave haights 5-9 feet, south 3-7...lets hope for anything. Tropics looking very quiet, even Afica looks that way too.

guys, looks overhead for the outer banks... South of obx, wont be as big due to the NE swell angle.

i dont really like the term windswell, it doesn't tell u much. The swell over the weekend looks to be in the 9-10 second range. Go to the swellplots on the forecast pages to view the details.

ill be up in Buxton early Sat. and sraying till Tues for the EASTERNS Championships. This swell is rolling in just in time! 9-10 sec intervals sounds great!

finally some swell cause after the swell from ike left it's just down right sucks.:mad:. cause its been flat ever since that weekend.

Im hoping the tropics flare up sometime soon. This is about the time that storms seem to blow up one after another. Im praying for surf about as hard as you can!

Clemson and surf, those are two very far distant terms. More like Clemson and Cowtip, which should there for be your future name, Clemsomcowtip

friday night and most of saturday look decent down at folly beach so a day trip might be worth it.

On another note, I was thinking about heading down to wrightsville beach on saturday morning for a few hours, anybody else headed down there for saturday or the weekend?
