Hey just wanted to know what wetsuits everyone is wearing for the fall, and how much longer you think i can put off buying a pair of booties.

3/2 or 4/3 depending on factors...
air temp, quality of suit, personal preference.
booties aren't necessary right, but it wont be too much longer.

Here in OC, Maryland it's time for the 3mm boots w/a good 3/2. Went out yesterday (Nov. 2nd) and you could definately tell the temperature dropped. I think it's around 56-57 deg. now.

I guess you're right. I'm a little short on dough. Any recommendations on cheap ones that'll still keep me warm?

Hyperflex runs narrow. Try them on first to make sure they fit otherwise you will have numb toes.

Yea booties are a necessity for me already. I've been rocking an old school Body Glove 3/2 with stitched seams now, and I'll be ready for an upgrade shortly.
Probably a good 5/4 or 6/5/4 with some flat-locked seams sound pretty toasty right about now.
BURRRRRR.......

surfed sunday with a 4mil hood and 3/2 boots. no gloves. water was 53. today water is back to 59. so no hood today but boots for sure. i tend to go to hood b4 gloves being that your head looses more heat then anywhere. 3/2 is fine right now as long as it is liqud-seem-sealed. i think 5 mil is coming out faster this year for sure. quick cold start to winter!

dang i never wear a hoodie during the middle of winter. i do wear booties and gloves during the winter but my friend once dared me last year to go out without gloves and booties for just like 20 min i made it but my fingers and toes were freezing so i went in my beach house and hopped in the bathtub with nice hot water and this happened during the middle of winter. it sucked. but i got 20 bucks out of it.:D

just got out of the *choppy* water in OCMD. Still just the 3/2 without any booties or hoods or other rubber on the appendages. my guess is OB is right about the sealed seams.water felt around 60. air the same.

Yesterday was it for me without booties. It seems like the water has drop in temp from last weekend. 3:2 is still fine, unless the wind is really howling. The thought of boots and gloves just makes me want to go some place warm.............

I thought if you have frostbite the last possible thing you would want to do is put your hands in burning hot water? I don't know that's what I heard.

yea dude definitely cold! you spend an hour or so out there in upper 50s water, clouds, wind, rain-you get pretty cold. I'll need some gloves here shortly soon.
Plus i wear the boots cause I gotta use some padding for da finnies:D

Agreed. I am still in my 3/2 hotline. Will probably be in it till the mid/end of December then I make the switch to the big 5.

surfed today, and the water has definitely cooled off since i surfed about a week ago. A lot of guys got cold pretty quick in their 3/2's, while I was nice and toasty in a 4/3.
2 or 3 mm boots are a go, and it was even borderline glove temps out there today, all though no one was wearing them.

Yea i skimmed on sunday. It was cold, burrrrrrrrr. I think i may have to bust out the boots soon. I agree though, i think i'm going boots then the hood then the gloves. My dome gets chilllly.
