Friday afternoon could be fun. NWS is calling for the wind to switch out of the west for the myrtle beach area around 3pm and high tide isn't until a little after 5...

As of now (Thursday eve.) its still looking SSW/SW to me for the afternoon.

The wind switched to offshore around 5 on Friday and it glassed off real nice. For about an hr we had a consistent glassy chest high wave but the wind stayed offshore strong and before long the swell seemed to be gone...
