It was great in Delaware...chest high and clean. Did its thing at a certain spot, but everywhere else was small, cold, and horrible. A good morning session, but by about noon, it calmed down.
I had fun :D

you really need to buy some cheap Point and Shoot. So that you can show the goods.
There are certain spots that amp the swell size/wave size, but claiming Chest high this am with high tide around 8 to 9, sunrise at...after 7:15am,...and then a dropping tide for the whole entire morning,...well it sounds like you do not know what chest high is. Clean yes, it was, but at most knee high in OC and FI. The chances of anything north of FI being that much larger would be equal to a freak event. Only two spots that double wave sizes on any consistent basis around here, and you may have been at one of those, but really? 5 Feet, man you have got to be full of it. Barely 3 foot at most......and that is east coast 3 feet, which is knee high 99% of the time.
Oh I forgot, you are the one that posted the small and gutless pic:rolleyes:,..it is all good, hope you had fun, really. But 3 to 5 feet is a BS report.

OK. I might have been exaggerating a bit. The sets where chest high. Otherwise it was waist to stomach.
Also, there is no reason to buy a camera to take pictures just to prove how good a session was. All I was doing was responding to DPR.
About the photo I posted. I am not going to get a $1000+ camera just to sit on the beach and wait for set waves, to take pictures of. I would rather be out there. I am sorry that you didn't appreciate a simple photo of a structurally perfect wave.
I am sorry if you took offense to any of this.

I gotta agree with xgen70. I was all over it from lower de to oc midtown. No way it was more than knee with maybe a thigh at best.

same here, saw stomach high at best at one spot....surfed it for a little and got depressed.....it just wasent breaking right with the high to fallin tide...
off for 2 weeks and no solid swell insight....
pic's always help validate your judgement if you care what people think.....if not stay stoked, glad someone had fun.....

Dis is true stu cat!
The ocean was hoppin till bout 10 at a few places. That may be the last surf for this week. Then it went flat. There was so much south in the waves that i think it passed right by us up to NY and NJ.
The swell window around here is WEAKBANKROLL$$.

I dont know where all you surfed but i Surfed at least chest more head high with sets at 1+ over head. little dissorganized due to two different swell directions but once you got on one and was riding it was like perfection.

+1. Spots just north of that stretch were the same. Really nice swell.
