I'd like to read an unbiased review and evaluation of the MS Vipers. Something more than a press release. For example, how is the foot pocket? Does the foot pocket have the same limitations as other Vipers (narrow width and narrow height) when scaling up a size for cold water (e.g., adding 5mm of rubber)? Any reviews anywhere?

They're saying the foot pocket has more width.

Thanks for the reference. I posted an even more detailed question on bodyboarder.com. The foot pocket was a real issue -- I exchanged several e-mails over the years with the Vipers owner, Mike Stewart and one or two Vipers sponsored riders trying to drive home the need for a larger foot pocket for cold water usage. The blade appears shorter than the Viper 5" model, but wider. I am curious how that translates in the water - what appears to be a similar "foot print" with the Tech2 left me unimpressed (otherwise, a very nice fitting swim fin) in cold water operations.

i actually use the viper ms model. i was using BZ rubbers before that and i can tell there is more power in my kicks and it is much easier to DK. i have a wide foot and the only problem i run into is that my feet rub just a lil on the inside right before my big toe. other than that i love them
