Listen douche i'm sure your 7th grade science teacher hasn't taught you anything about global weather patterns or hurricane forecasting but jynxing has nothing to do with it. This is a science. If its gonna happen its gonna happen. Me posting the NHC basin outlook on a surf report website has nothing to do with the eventual formation of a tropical storm. Next time you wanna post something, "for the SACK or all of us," make it relevant or keep it to yourself.

despite popular belief, it appears to me that neither praying for or jinxing has any effect on the surf.

Hey hey hey! Let's refrain from using words such as retarded, and instead use words such as mentally challenged, because mental retardation is all too real. So don't use it as a means to insult someone. Instead, bake them a nice pie! (Filled with expired cherries! Mwahahahahah!)

couple of things, one, ANYONE can look at the gfs or the ngp on NOAA but remember, things change. Especially if it's over 72 hrs out. East coast surf is fickle at best. That's why some mornings you walk over a dune and it's waist+ and glassy with no hint of swell from a buoy, and other mornings it's the total opposite. We need some quality waves in a bad way. Attitudes have been going south for a while now.
And SwellInfo is right, neither jinxing or praying works. Just keep and eye on the marine forecast and be willing to drive a couple of hours and everything will be ok.

Here is my question for all. Earlier this week I nearly ran over a black kitten on HWY 17. It darted out of the woods and I almost flipped trying to avoid killing it. Get home this morning after a dissapointing 6 am wave check to find a DEAD black kitten on my doorstep. True story... Does this mean we will have waves or not?

I''d say that trade SE mod. period swell could hold for next week. We had one similiar last year and it was fun. Just hope the wind cooperates. Nothing coming off Africa right now will make it in our window. WAY too early and has a lot of areas( way too much shear and african dust) to go through to just survive. Look at some of the tail ends of troughs or just south, which could spin up something. If we do see something come off the Cape Verde's and it did survive, we would not see swell til it is past Puerto Rico. Look for that in late August. As for now, just hoping that trade swell holds, something for this ****ty as year.
