It's not something you "like" to do, it's more like a lifestyle.
I'm talking about ripping on people who skimboard, btw...
;)
Dude, a little defensive of your choice of water toys?:D Just skim or whatever man and enjoy it. F the hater’s man. Hell I play with surf mats, handguns, and pineapple platters in the lineup all the time when I'm not surfing with a board. It’s just about having fun.
This video looks like they were having fun. :)

Great they tow in on waves which could be paddled by surfers woowwww. When they are towing at cyclops, or massive open ocean swells call me. Till then just another thing for people who can not surf.

This is definitely true. Still, in that scenario, I think some skegs would serve them pretty damn well. The turns they make are pretty impressive though. You can see where a big bottom turn would be perfect but its just not possible.

paddling into waves on a surfboard > getting towed into waves on skimboard

It just looks really hard to surf solid waves on a small, finless skimboard.

Stupid. Towing in with others out is just disrespectful (specially since they were paddling in) and doing it on a skim board is even worse. Specially since it looked like a fun day.
The little shovits he kept doing were okay but who cares? He wasted the whole wave because he was unable to generate any speed to beat sections. Hence no fins.
The sad part is he is probably a decent surfer but that **** just looked dumb.

i think this is better use of a skim board, i used to skim board until my board got stolen. Its a lot of fun but really painful when you wipeout, fall, slip or what ever
