All the people who leave **** on the beach should have to eat what they left, and suffer like the animals have to. One thing i always see is surfers throwing there broken leashes on the jettys and the beach, dont leave your leash, just take with you. but more bennys and ass holes leave there **** on the beach than surfers and leashes. Pollution sucks, but theres really nothing you can do to stop it.

Yeah, those pics get me fired up. We're killing the oceans with plastic. I know we should all be thankful for the wonders of modern chemistry, but floating plastic trash makes me nostalgic for the days of good old glass bottles.

god, the ****ers who come for the weekend just leave our towns in shambles. like HOW HARD IS IT?! i hate how some towns will take the abuse just to have the renters coming back each year.

also, even tho i dislike humans indirectly causing the deaths of animals with pollution, those birds are ****ing stupid. All bright as colors and textures don't alert their instincts NOT to eat them? dumb birds.

imagine driving down coastal highway and having a group of people in a SUV, with PA plates, throw two large bags of Mcdonalds trash out their windows, in the middle of summer, riding down the road with cars all around, like it was ok and normal to do such a thing.

Guess I am lucky they were not carrying a gun, since I tried to confront them at the next light. I think they got scared when I told them I was calling the cops and the fine for throwing trash out of your car is 1,000 bucks.

They all should have been pulled out of their car and beat, ...typical loser tourons..makes me sick.

Where is all that damn stimulus money they are suppose to throw around? They could send a group of ships out to that vortex in the pacific, and pay some people a good wage to clean that mess up.

Most of the trash get in our water threw drains in our sewer system , Everytime it rains what ever in in the streets , Against our curbs get washed into a storm water drain and out to sea. One thing I will say is some towns are really trying to keep thrash off the beaches and in it proper place. Wildwood is a great example every morning in the summer they run the trash rakes on the beach and they have a good amount of trash and recycle cans on teh beach .
With these types of step and local beach clean ups I think we can make a difference. Last weekend there was a big beach clean up . I saw a very good amount of trash taken off the beach and for the off season thats good. Polution is a year round thing that we have to look after . Not just from April - Sept

It makes me sick when I see Mcdonalds or any fast food bag being tossed out of moving vehicle.

Next time you come to a stop light at a crowded intersection look at the area where the asphalt meets the grass. I gaurantee there will be 200-300 cigarette butts. This really makes me angry. People who choose to smoke should have to deal with the nasty smelling cigarette butt in the ashtray of their car. That's the only reason they throw them out. They don't want their car to smell bad because of the ashtray. But they'll inhale the stuff and then throw it on the ground for everyone else to deal with.

This probly happens x1,000,000 everyday in your state.

I say increase the fine for throwing anything out of your car to $10,000 and make it as easy as a phone call from another motorist to turn you in via license plate #. My guess is this would stop almost immediately. Ignorance.

Yeah good point, I read about that in The World Without Us. Lets face it, we are the parasites of this planet. Sure we have the intelligence to soften the impact of our existence, but our existence itself is bad for the planet. Its coming back around though, because we ingest plastics one way or another almost every day. Polluting the ocean sucks, but we've been polluting ourselves for years now. Yaaay life! :D

Yeah...looks a little outrageous, but those birds will eat anything. I have actually witnessed them picking up trash of the boardwalk in town and eating it because kids were feeding them fries. Do your part...I have seen spongers leave gatorade bottles and a pizza box at SouthSide...after they had made a huge stink about how SS is a bodyboard wave. Not trying to spark the epic battle of spongers vs. surfers:eek:...but clean up after yourself. :confused::confused::confused:
