That is a wall hanger, not a board that you would surf. That Bolt is a true classic that ushered in the short board revolution of the 70's, and no other label came close to the total domination of Lighting Bolt Surfboards that Gerry Lopez and Jack Shipley started in 1970. Just about anybody who was a somebody surf on or for Light Bolt. Not until Simon Anderson invented the first thruster and introduced it to the world by winning the Narrabeen Coke Classic and the Pipeline Masters in 81' did the short board revolution really kick into high gear. Bad news, those Vintage Lightning Bolt's will coast you. Good news Gerry will still shape you one of those classic designs to surf on now for a couple grand less.http://www.gerrylopezsurfboards.com/classic.htm

That's way high, I've looked at his new boards on the rack at a surf shop in California like his Pocket Rocket model and it was in the normal price range for that class of boards ( $900-1,200 ). Here is one of his new retros, I know the Euro is stronger than the Dollar but I don't think this is anywhere near $6,500. http://www.surf-longboard.com/sb049.htm

I thought a Euro was worth the same as a dollar?? I seen a on site someplace that was selling a board shapped and ridden by lopez for 4500 dollars. They also has a Pair of Greg Noll's Black and White striped boardies and a few of his personal Longboards out of his quiver for 5,000
