The best known and most versatile spot is my home break of sunset beach on treasure island, about half way down you will see the cars when there are waves. If its a cold front and out of the NW, its better up in clearwater, sand key. Another good place is bradenton on the other side of the skyway. Anna maria island. Its usually a foot bigger down there. Well good luck on your hunt. Its hit and miss around here. Your best bet is to moniter melbourne on the east coast and make the drive but we do occasionally get decent waves.
noticed you were talking bout gettin some waves on the gulf coast. im new to st. pete area and lookin to catch some of this potential swell coming up.. know any good spots around there? im willing to drive a bit
