Learned how to surf in the challenging Gulf Coast conditions of Ft Walton Beach, FL. Moved to Miami in my twenties, and gave up surfing for Motocross (less consistent then the Gulf!), then moved to MTB. Moved to Arizona for MTBing. Went back to MX, then got hit from behind by a car while on my street MC. That resulted in injuries which lead a to a move back home, to FL, to become a surfer again. To my surprise, central FL has had very consistent surf, and I am now a surfer again (much to my new employers' surprise).
