i'm not even conservative, and i can't stand obama. i couldn't stand bush either. i did vote obama in 2008, but i won't be voting obama in 2012 that's for damn sure. i don't like any of the other options. ron paul might be the lesser of all those evils, and i've liked some of the things herman cain has to say. i don't trust any politicians though. romney is the biggest joke, and i wouldn't vote for him either. i wouldn't vote palin, or pawlenty, or bachmann or gingrich. obama has been the biggest flop in a while. all the momentum he had going in he looked great, and then after about six months of him in office, and definitely after the first year i made up my mind i wouldn't vote for him again for sure. this health care thing is a load of crap too. i'll post more later, but i'll let the small consensus of obama supporters tell me i'm wrong.

in closing i have to say i won't belittle anyone who chooses to vote for obama, because that's your right. it's pretty obvious he's done nothing. many continued policies of bush as well. wars in iraq, and afghanistan, and this new bs in libya, and he lied, and was gonna close gitmo, and that didn't happen.

I don't know what your talking about. I never said anything about Palin. I can't stand either of them. I'm an old man now and jaded with the system. The results will basically be the same no matter who gets in office. These people are all controlled by top corporations and lobbyists. I prefer a true fiscal conservative (this obviously is not the republican party anymore) regarding the economy but also support some grass root movements too. I just want someone with common sense that isn't already in the pocket of large corporations.

It's sad that the corporations and individuals in the top 1 % really run the country, not the politicians. The politicians are handpicked by these people and give large contributions. They really don't care if it's a democrat or republican because they own both parties. Vote independent. I think Ron Paul is only running as a Republican because he can't get the exposure as an independent but he actually a libertarian

The more i read about the beginning of America and the founding fathers (im in college), the more I am disgusted with todays lack of liberty. The biggest flaws I have come to realize is the public itself and the media. For we have thrown all morals out the door and have been told by the media how to not call out anyone no matter what in order to be "open minded" which is all morals. We, as a population of Americans (not individuality, i know there are some rational people out there) have lost all sense of morals and what is right and wrong. i hope a couple of those comments back weren't your generic ''can you do a better job than obama?'' i heard enough of that during bush, and it's such a copout question. can i run the country better than obama, and his administration? probably not. i'm not getting paid over $420k grand a year to do that, i didn't run in an election, and get over half of the countries vote, so no i hope that i can't. it's just like someone saying for instance in sports take hockey for example. ''man john maclean did a really poor job coaching the devils looking back on it. look how jacques lemaire turned the team around'' ''what? stop criticizing! could you have done any better? could you have coached the devils to the playoffs''? no i couldn't have, but i'm not getting paid a few million a year to do that. it's not my expertise so therefore i'm a critic.

i can't say anything more about obama that hasn't already been said multiple times in this thread so far by multiple posters. i'm not even a conservative, but now i guess i'm not much of a liberal either right? it turns out that way. things like gay marriage, and other social issues, and the wars in iraq, and afghanistan, and this bs over in libya thanks to obama. those things i don't share a conservative view on. fiscal things i'm starting to. i owe over $46k grand now as a citizen to this runaway debt. do i want my taxes going up? no. talk about a paycut. i can afford to pay a few more, but why should i have to? i hope obama does raise taxes though on everybody. just so everyone will be pissed. then he has no chance in 2012.

like i said i'm not the most conservative, but it's time to wake up. the clash were one of my favorite bands if not just for their first two albums. joe strummer was an admitted socialist probably until the day he died. the dead kennedys, and bad religion ironically are two of my favorite bands. that doesn't mean i take their lyrics as gospel. i would hate to hear jello biafra's opinion on obama. i'm afraid he just like many other old punks are still being duped by obama. ''obama is the only real change, and impact this country has ever seen!'' what change? what impact? a nation in bankruptcy?

Obama nor any of the republican candidates don't fit that, its personal to me because its so influential. Presidents powers are very limited, contrary to many of the (dumber than should, i say that with a grain of salt) public. it's all public appeal,hoo-rah mentality, and balls that make a president a good one. none of the candidates have that.

you're right none of the candidates have that. obama does though? everyone has to put a spin on things, and tell people they are uninformed to tear down someone who thinks obama is awful.

Dems or Repub........Same s**t different party. The whole systems needs to evolve. Is it better to live during the rise or the fall of an empire? History repeats itself.

I don't think Obama has done all that he said he was going to do and he spent quite a bit of money, but I do have to say that I think his heart was in the right place when he was running for president. Not defending him, but the republicans stated when he got into office that they would do everything in their power to see that he failed. This doesn't help us at all, the more bickering and opposition, the less things get done and the people who suffer are us. I will say one thing about Obama, he made the call to put a bullet in Bin Laden's head and that's more than I can say for Bush. You can't expect any president to make up for the disaster Bush got us into in 3 years...jackass got us into two wars that should have never taken place...ask yourself honestly if Hussein was a threat to us...here we are up to our eyeballs in debt spending trillions of dollars helping out countries who have surpluses...Does that make any sense?
