I highly recommend one, I have had mine for 10 years, well worth the money.
www.cleansnipe.com to look for gear because it monitors all of the ODAT sites. I have seen the Hyperflex AMP Aerodome 5/4/3 (not sure if you would be interested in this one) for $99 on several occasions over the past few weeks. If that suit isn't to your liking, I'm sure you can find a different one at a sweet price. The cool thing about this site is you can set up alerts for certain gear when they are certain prices, which is what I did for this one. It will send you an email and a text when it is available and then you just have to jump on it quickly. Unfortunately, I got the message last week while I was out in the water. Ironically, I was going to get out of the water sooner but the waves were good. By the time I got in, the deal was over. I regret nothing! So now I just wait until I get the next alert. Happy hunting! :D
My only complaint about the site is that they never have any GNU snowboards on there. Boooo.
ive considered cutting the sleeves on one of my 3/2s but the idea of hacking through a rubber wetsuit scares me. doesn't it fray out? shouldn't the ends be closed?
so yea, if you can afford a suit or 2 beyond the absolute basics, they're good additions. like i said, you can get by w/ a 5/4/3 & 3/2, but if you've got a bit of extra coin to throw around, the other cuts are good additions & can make your surfing like a LOT more comfortable. i've seen a lot of guys these last few days in fullsuits that just didn't seem happy...prob. b/c they were too warm despite the chill in the air.
I agree with Mitchell. I usually cut the sleeves off my 3/2 when I get a new one. The sleeves don't fray. I have done it 3 or 4 times. However as light as the wetsuits have become it almost isn't that much of a difference
Wait a minute...did Hanaebu just ask Matt Johnson if he's interested in Hyperflex wetsuits?
