Sorry but I just can't abide a cheap watch. Cheap means independable and over time for how many cheap watches one goes through in life you could have bought one near indestructible moderate priced tool watch that lasts your lifetime.

I wear a Nixon Lowdown while I surf and in genral. I used to get in trouble when I didn't have one and lost track of time out in the water because I would always be "accidentally" skipping things. Plus it has pretty accurate high and low tides for over 200 surf spots in the world including, my home break. definitely comes in pretty handy. My opinion though
what time is it now?
sorry, dude, i don't have a lot of $$$. mostly, the watches people are wearing are FREESTYLE SHARK, which is an 80's watch that freestyle just brought back to production. i have a red one.http://islandsurf.com/images/product...tch-red-XL.jpg got it for $22 on sale
Here's a question for you gruvi, why do you need a watch in the water? probably to tell time am i correct? you clearly aren't competing at all so Who gives a **** if it is an expensive or trendy watch. When you are out in the water you should be more concerned about the waves then looking at peoples watches ... like I said before it sounds like all you wanna do is Bro Down and not pay any attention to whats goin on with the surf.
Same here- wearing a $20 Freestyle Shark. Most people don't have umlimited funds to buy things. I tend to spend my free cash on things that will keep me in the water longer, like warmer gloves and boots. So, $120 watch or $20 watch and $100 boots? Love my new boots!
