1969 international scout 800A manual 3 speed transmission and a V8, can fit a few short boards and 2 people and i have no clue how bad the gas millage is i believe its in the single digits. but its a convertible and drives on the beach amazingly so the gas problem isn't bad.

2. I can sleep comfortable in the back with alot of cushion under me.
3. Reliability of Honda
4. Im averaging 35 mpg city/hwy daily driving. 40 hwy
i am not sure about the newer subarus, but in general, AWD friction deters gas mileage. I know a lot of subarus you see on the road get 27 highway and around 20 city.
