The wrong board...

I've been surfing for many years and often get to the beach (after checking cams and reports and buoys, etc) and wish I brought a different board.

i remember for Katia swell a few days left over i should have brought my true shortboard vs. my lost motivator but the motivator was still really fun at shoulder high offshore winds. this was the session which enticed me to bring both boards regardless of the cams and report from then on.

Lots of hate for no apparent reason... Defending kielsun; doesn't matter if he's a noob or a seasoned boarder, anyone who is not sponsored or paid that is involved in ANY sport is an amateur.Think of college sports. doesn't mean there aren't good surfers posting here, but I doubt (m)any pros are. Let the hate begin anew...

Great point, lots of good surfers on here and all around the world who aren't "pro" or "sponsored" and who really cares who's pro / ammy anyways. Surfing to me isn't about competition, it's about a way of life, two totally different things IMO.

I hear being a douche on internet forums is pretty trendy, too. You must be a really nice, nay, swell, person.

FYI, I don't work at a cubical or ride a BIC. Oh, and the old wetsuit was mine and not from Craigslist. But other than being wrong about that stuff you're right on! Maybe you should go play the lotto or something. I think today might be your day. Good luck!
