I am looking to switch careers here in the hopefuly not so distant future and obviously want to stay as close to the coast as possible. What kind of job prospects are there in Coastal Jersey? Trying to stay away from NYC, but want to live closer to the coast that Dover, Newark, DC, etc...
They have Casinos of course, and then there are skeeball arcades. :D It all depends upon what sort of job you had in mind. Teachers are needed just about everywhere, but don't count on the highest salary. Job security is not bad though.
This can be a significant problem around here. Along the delmarva coast, there isn't a whole lot of industry outside of the retail,real estate,tourist,construction, food industries. Jersey has more going on if you go inland a bit or to the north (as you approach the city). I'd say first narrow down what your interested in doing, then go from there...
I just started school again to get my MBA/ Master in Finance, so something in Finance. So I figure in about a year when I am half way through the program I will start looking. Monmouth County has a big Navy base, right? Dover has a lot of jobs on the AFB so I was trying to find out more about there...
