our power is still down at the shop, so no phones, we are going in and packing orders and shipping them out though so if you place an order online we can access the order and get it to you!
im gonna try and hit rockaway tomorrow
is the water on LI safe though?
It's so tempting to jump in early tomorrow am, especially when winds look good for western LI, but there's gotta be some serious crap lounging in the water. I've felt sick a few times after surfing western/central LI after a heavy rain, but I'd boot and rally and be fine in a few hours. But this is different.
I guess you’ve got to ask yourself one question, "Do I feel lucky?"
hope you guys get everything cleaned up. that sucks. further north and it would have been us. hope a speedy cleanup recovery can take place.
ive got a friend who went in the water southern monmouth county last week and the water made his face and head swell up, literally gross swollen.
its enough to keep me out for a while, thats saying a lot since surfing is the only reason i live where I do
meh... I guess it's not worth it right now... hopefully in another week or two we all will be back in the water and the quality will no longer be in question.
it's the quality of the water I'm really worried about... where I live a sewage plant had to dump millions of gallons of raw sewage in the water during sandy to keep it from overloading... that sewage is floating around in the ocean and all signs point to it hasn't fully cleared out yet.
^^^that is my concern. im all for catching waves, just that there is turd water mixed in
