peroneus brevis tendon tear in right foot; how long is downtime? Surgery necessary?

Anyone have a peroneus brevis tear?

Did you have surgery?

If so, how long is downtime?

I see what the 'normal' is, but I cannot find anyone with pratical experience with the surgery or that has chose not to cut.
