You can pretty much bottle the fog this morning. I got in based on the sounds of wave breaking. Probably 20 foot visibility. Had on the 3/2 and was sweating. Some fun ones. Tomorrow should be good.
This is what it looked like when the fog cleared. NJShreadmachine was just getting out. "You missed it, man. It was really firing an hour ago."
My guess is it was about 70° at AI this morning. I doubt we'll see much in the way of upwelling with the S wind all weekend. Generally you need a good westerly to bring up the cold water, but be prepared!
It was flat every time I saw the water.
Waves were showing a good ground swell effect it felt as they were more solid and perfect speed for longboarding and a few guys were out on the shorties doing good. Wish I went short today myself.
Temp - Huge difference today than Wednesday. Didn't rock a suit; but that initial shock had my boys hiding for cover if you know what I mean...
