Just a thought and I am sure someone will call me a kook, but you should build one yourself out of wood. You can make it the dimensions you want and the materials to make it will cost you about what a good used board would cost. It takes a while, but the feeling of building your own board and joy you will get out of riding it will be worth it.

Not a bad idea at all. I know of two websites that sell the kits to make your own. Check them out. www.grainsurfboards.com and www.greenlightsurfsupply.com . I think Grain Surfboard kits are a bit pricey, maybe because of the wood used. The kits from Greenlight surf supply are the standard EPS constuction.Quote:
