With so many negative threads and posts... let's talk about something off topic...
What is your current job or jobs or career? How do you find time to surf? I'll start...
I just started doing Document Control for a Mechanical Construction company that is building the new casino, The Revel, in A.C. I work Mon-Fri. 7:30-4pm. Surf after work and a weekend warrior!!
just a full time student.
drive down every weekend.
currently searching for a job.
double major in earth and atmospheric sciences and philosophy. any ideas?
i own a company so i can either stop woking when i feel like it or just make other people work harder and take all day off
excellent. hard to find meteorology jobs around the beach though. There are a bunch of NOAA jobs in DC area. If you are into forecasting, you can an occasionally find some scattered private business offering forecasting jobs scattered about.

I been a plane, train, automobile/truck mechanic, HVAC mechanic, and now I'm in Health Care. Husband, father of four children, Pop Pop to two others. Theres just always been time for surf ! May not make every session now, (those were the days) but get it when I can !!! Seems like the older you get, the less time there is for the really really good stuff. Therefore I'm in the water on........(fill in my user ID here).
PS: Nice pics of Hanna!! See you at States Ave.
I teach. Sometimes a quick session b4 school. Always after. All weekends surf hard and vacations I GO AWAY. All summer I do whatever I want. Well...I think I picked the right job!
Medical student. School takes up a lot of time, but fortunately I also get weird hours off mid-day sometimes during the week which is great for a drive to the beach. Still usually manage to get in the water a few times a week when it's good. The long-term goal is to be an ER doc in a beachtown somewhere, working varied hours so I can get in the water as much as possible when the crowds are down. But I still have to finish med school and residency, so it'll be a while.
Went to a culinary school in philly and was a chef for awhile, philly, honolulu, then finally back at home at the DE beaches.(Don't ask why I left HI, cause I have no f###ing clue) I have a family now so I gave up working in a restaurant. Working at nights gave me no time with my family, but I am considering returning because my current job is so slow right now. I'm now doing all types of countertops (templating, fabricating, installing), but specializing in granite. I am not very happy with my job right now because like I said, it is very slow.Hey swellinfo, I'd love to get a job there, don't you need some help? Anyway, as far as finding time to surf, I keep an eye on swellinfo and just make time to go when it is going to be good.Nights and Weekends.
HAHA...I was waiting for you to chime in... I'm pretty jealous! Wish I could fight my boss (if it was my inner consciousness) on when I can take off! :D
