yeah mr. krabs i no what swell your talking about
id say that day was 15-18 ft
I would say it is 25'. The picture was taken on the Point Side of the inlet. The people on the south jetty are smaller than the Core- loc jetty forms, the inlet is about as wide as the Ocean City inlet. Now look at the jetty forms on the north side and understand that the wave itself is breaking at least another 50-100' out and past the jetty end. By that standard the face is at least 25 foot. Gloria was a huge swell, I surfed Sandy Hook during that one and even up there the faces were 10 - 15 foot right as the wind switched, dropped fast if I remember correctly. Now if your gonna judge it by Hawaii standards it is 5-6 foot max lol. All I can say is having surfed that jetty and knowing how long it is That would be one heck of a paddle if you didn't jump off the rocks.

You tell me. Thats 300+ yards of the end of Frisco Pier.
EVERYONE we where with said ATLEAST 20' face.
yes, this whole time I was thinking of that photo of yours Jason, I mean that had to be as big if not bigger. but you just can not know due to the distance. But that was those three? days when they were tow surfing down there, correct? Double Over Head Plus?
can someone please explain to me how a wave face can be 25 feet, but the wave is only 30 feet?
Also, am I wrong when I thought that all jetty markets fall within some standard as per Corps regulations?
what I meant was jetty Marker<<<not market.
But also, point being, I would have to see it, that being a real 25 foot wave in NJ to beleive it, that is for sure.
Wow look how huge and perfect that wave is !!!
