Whats the best place to surf on the eastcoast?

how about u guys rank the following surf towns in order of best to worst.

oc nj.

oc md.

va beach

wilmington

folly, sc

satellite beach, fl

I left off obx and other central fl locations so they did run away with it.

I think all above towns are pretty similar as far as surf consistency. maybe satellite beach has an advantage but hey.

of these I would put satellite beach at the top of the list - not because of quality of waves but because they never restrict where you can surf at any time of the year, and warm water is a plus in my mind.

I think any spot on it's best day of the year can be especially memorable - I've had great days in ocmd - obx - and spanish house, satellite beach, patrick afb,cocoa beach, playa linda, b ave., and bon steel in fl. - @ sebastion inlet have gotten some good days but it's so stinkin crowded w/ kooks when its on.

as in wilimigton are you talking about wilmington, nc or delaware?

Has to be NC, the only wave you would ride in wilmington, DE would be the wave of crime, homicides & shootings.

cobble toes, the shrine, go-carts...can't tell you the states though. someone would kill me. i truley believe NJ has the most variety. I know the northeast can get real good and florida is warmer, but Nj is my north pole-Hatty is my south pole. After that, I am on a plane. honetly the best place on the east coast should be wherever YOU ARE AT. because we all know that you should have been here yesterday and that every dog has it's day. in the water is the best spot.

The answer is Rodanthe... S turns in particular... Its just too bad every kook and their grandma surfs there now

Random comment:

1-oc md. - picks up swell, black balled during summer, sandbars crappy last few years
2-va beach - not a good swell magnet but plenty of surfing beaches
3-oc nj. - too many guidos! do you need beach tags here? Soft breaking the few times I have been there
4-wilmington, nc - college town? cheap living, cheap wages
5-folly, sc - if the surf wasn't so inconsistent I'd rank it at the top for "vibe"

satellite beach, fl - this is Central FL, otherwise it is top of the list
