I'll help out, sounds interesting.
+1 overpriced clothing, inferior wetsuits, definitely not "cool" anymore.
I always wondered what kind of return the companies even get by sponsoring these guys. I'm sure Slater and Reynolds are a...
smart guy.
Ahhhh you must be living the life. Too good to be true.
SUPs in one foot mush aren't the issue so that's irrelevant. No doubt your break is uncrowded in 1 foot mush.
It's common sense that the board is more dangerous. Obviously the person riding it is mostly at fault, but the board exacerbates the problem. I'm not saying ban SUPs, but how some people act on a SUP...
Sounds like you are one of the clowns out there on a SUP putting other people at risk because you have no control over your board.
BOTH are the problem. It's basic physics that SUPs are more dangerous (but not necessarily dangerous) regardless of who is riding them, but become especially dangerous when poorly skilled surfers...
SUPs are more dangerous because they are bigger, weigh more, and are harder to control....

I'm not so sure the made...
Which of those boards is less durable than a standard polyester board? I have no doubt that someone who has no idea what they are doing could make a terrible not as durable epoxy board. But every...
I'm just referring to epoxy-built boards, I don't know that much about exactly why epoxy boards are way more durable, but they are. You can't compare the strength of a poly board to an epoxy. I...
Some of you guys are comparing apples to oranges. ANY epoxy is going to wayyy more durable than any poly. It's not more durable because its a popout, its more durable because its epoxy.
If you are...
That was exactly my point, the little guys aren't as good as the corporations at business, and its unrealistic to expect them to be. Sure, they could do better... but my point was as consumers we...
In my opinion a significant portion of the overseas boards are purchased mostly due to marketing. The companies selling these boards are corporate minded and put a lot of value in marketing. People...
I've been working in a surf shop part time for over 5 years and seen a bunch of invoices. Surfboard markup is next to nothing especially considering storage costs (opportunity cost) and everyone...
