Yea, in MD it was pretty good after that last rainshower. I was in the 3 year old 4/3 and was fine, but my Hyperflex gloves are garbage. Not to bust on the company but that's what they are.
I was in 3/2 w/boots in OCMD Thanksgiving, and was fine. I saw guys out full blown with 4/3's boots, gloves, and hoods.
There was nobody around me in the PM in OC and it wasn't terrible, but yea I wouldn't want to be in a crowd with the average small surf we had tonight.
Just curious, but where is the OCIM2 buoy located?
Did you walk back to 23st?
I do like the little map at the top of the MagicSeaweed page that shows the swell and wind direction arrows. A good little visual tool, and seems fairly accurate. Also, in the summary section it...
I went ahead and bought the Hyperflex deal too at Wetsuit Warehouse, it's like I couldn't resist the price. I was just looking for a non-5 finger glove cause my Xcel 3m 5-fingers get cold below...
I would go with a hooded vest. I have the Xcel Polypro hooded vest; it provides extra body warmth and it's a great hood.
Done this before......same situation. It wasn't till about 2 months after I did it that it showed that it was broken.
A lot of my bone wore away so I had to get a bone graph and screws. My cast...
sorry, lobster claw gloves
I plan on getting some claw style gloves, and never worn them before. Just wondering if anyone had any insight.
Being that I probably will only wear them 3 months out of the year and they are...
Last year during Hurricane Bill swell OCMD beaches were modified at least where I was on Saturday and Sunday.
Anyone know of any chance this will happen again or the parameters that OC beach...
It might be doable.....theres been a few different reports around OC MD lately about water temps.
I went out for a little surf yesterday and I was still in gloves. Water still felt chilly, my...
I surf at Chincoteague a handful of times a year. I just went there a couple days ago to look around, which was the first time since the big November NorEaster. It looks like the water rushed clean...
I'm a Christian, and it is and will be the best decision I make in life. I personally believe that God created this world, and for me it's awesome to be able to enjoy what he created. It's such a...
It's the short back zip.
I'm going to go ahead and keep it, it's hard to remember how tight my other wetsuits were when I first tried them on. I didn't know if there were any specific concerns...
Thanks for the input
Pinwheel: it does make me feel a little better being that you wear medium and weigh a little more than me.
Maybe the suit has never been tried on, but I was just surprised...
Just bought my first Oneill wetsuit online since it was a deal I couldn't pass up
It was a Gooru GBS 3/2 2008 model
I'm 5'11 155lbs. I got a medium, which on the Oneill site is for 5'9"-5'11"...
So how big was it today in OC,MD? From the cam, it looked waist - chest, and it usually looks bigger when your'e out there.
One report says 4-5ft with overhead sets.
Fairly different from OC/DE in my opinion, the sandbar situation being the main difference. It's kinda deep near the shore, and the sandbar setup is further out.
On a small swell, you need to get...
Yea, I made it out tonight, and yes it was bigger than I expected. There were some solid ones rolling through, I guess the big, incoming high tide may have helped things.

My Quicksilver Syncro 4/3 is a solid suit. Maybe not the most popular suit, but 100% stretch for $150 isn't bad.
I wear a thermal with an attached hood underneath the suit under 45 degrees, which...
Quicksilver 4/3 syncro
Xcel polypro vest with 2mm hood (a really good addition to a 4/3)
Xcel 5mm infiniti split toe boots
Hyperflex 3mm fusion gloves
