foam is also your friend. I think getting into a wave faster because of more overall volume is more critical than the shape of your nose/tail.

im pretty jealous that it was that big down there. We got head high waves here and i wasnt impressed by the size. I wonder what their continental rise is compared to the rest of the east coast.
Why? I think we pick up a lot of swell too. Granted it makes sense that they pick up more because they stick out but i think NJ will get plenty of swell

also any exposure to light weakens the wetsuit over time. I read that when they sit in stores under flourescent lights they weaken. I store my better wetsuits in the closet in darkness
and the long period stuff allows people to get into position easier on the peak. I love the chaotic nature of our windswells and chasing down peaks.
im over the hurricane swells. They are overhyped and quite frankly, dont work with our bottom contour here in NJ. Windswells are best!
