3 1/8" thick 7 foot board is pretty extreme. I wonder why they put in so much volume? Seems way outside of most surfers preferred range. I know I can't surf a board with that kind of thickness.

For smallish summer waves, i disagree with the advice about 7 foot boards or single fins, but its all personal preference.
my go to boards for weak waist high and under summer waves are short wide...
Surfers should worry less about how their surfing looks to others and just enjoy themselves...even if that means doing spastic looking air attempts. My 2 cents.
