So true--i've been saying that from the start and here we go again. Greedy little towns and $10 to get on their beaches...
Did anyone read the article on "Surf-onomics". I think its worth speaking to your local counsel about the MONEY surfing brings--gas, food, exposure, tournaments--and maybe we can save at least one...
TURBO TUNNEL! too funny, I bought one as a newbee from the now closed 3rd Ave surf shop-he must have saw me coming a mile away. Besides provoking small talk, the thing did absolutely nothing!
Trestles, 3.2 no boots.

I've been saying the same thing for years dude. Every time I go out west its just amazing to see huge, clean beaches with better amenities and no fee’s. Theory; So cal beach goers are...

Thanks, not thinking of it today but just in general. The cleanup in Monmouth county will be going on all winter and yes debis and sewage dont make for a fun session so I have to figure something...
Before I ask where a guy can surf in the NJ/NY area these days, know that I have donated money, clothing, non perishables to Belmar, are a Monmouth county resident and a active Surfrider member....
Not that Loch A needs anymore surfers there but it does not have a boardwalk so it MAY not be as hazardous as Seaside or Belmar--I'm glad the debris issue is being brought up because its heavy on my...
plain and simple, anyone who paddles out in this mess before Thursday has no regard for his life. Say hi to John Gotti when you get to bottom of the ocean for me.

Hi, I'm heading to Maui this september and was wondering if I'll look like a dork if I buy a pair of surf boots. I surf both coasts on the mainland and have very little experience with coral reefs...

Read all about it, new board that I'm sinking on. My loss, your gain. The board is in Monmouth county but can bring it up to NYC if needed....
The root of the problem is that inexperienced surfers and the "soul surfer" 12 year old girls are in the part of line up where they should not be and experienced surfers don't go to end of the line...
This thread is a train wreck! Let me write Leethwhatever's final chapter; Lethwhaterer suites up, looks in the mirror and says "I'm the best surfer in the world and no one will ever be better", he...
I just figure that there are enough waves for everyone. I'm fortunate to have work gigs in the So LA coutny area and it just seems like geezers there respect the "common bond" for the sport. Just...

Not to sound negative but its so hit or miss on the east coast, I would just focus on enjoying tim with the fam.
