hurricane season is the most wonderful time of year, hands down.
i'm in SE NC, but i'd pay $90 for those boards right now. standing offer, but you gotta deliver to Carolina Beach.
bonus: we have a building wind swell right now, that should clean up on Monday...
try paying for the premium forecasting service...i understand the waves are much better.
without knowing more details (like, was it a surf zone or where swimmers permitted as well?), i think the surfer is on the hook for this one. it's all well and good to surf without a leash, but if...
that appeals to me as well: never mind standing on the shore, waiting for a fish - go in after it, find it where it lives, shoot the bastard, then take it home and eat it. channel my inner Ernest...
this. i spend hundreds of hours at the beach every year, there is always a fisherman or two nearby, and i almost never see them catch anything. maybe a twice each summer, i see a guy haul in a...
i bought one last year, based on somebody's endorsement here, and found it to be a nice balance between twin and quad. good for small days, when i want the looseness of a twin with just a little...

chope - ice cold by definition - from where it's made.
If you know, you know.

bought one last summer at Costco - best $99 I spent on all summer. if you have little ones, the Wavestorm is a blast...i take my 3 y/o out on it at low tide and pretty soon, every kid on the beach...
+1 ...love my Whiskey Fish.

there are many things in my life that go better with weed, but surfing is not one of them. obviously, it's different for others, but for me, being high just doesn't enhance my surfing experience. ...
i lived in RI briefly in the 90's - it was my first exposure to the concept of privately owned beaches. after growing up in Jersey, it was astonishing to be in a place where beach access is not a...
wayne, the jesus troll
^what he said^ (especially the part about the wiccan - was your's a redhead too, btw? - but not the part about the North Shore...otherwise, +1000)
i think i have about the same board: http://www.backcountry.com/images/items/medium/SNS/SNS0054/WAV.jpg the double kingpin gullwings are definitely an improvement over standard trucks - lots of fun...
Carolina Beach could always use a little more shark bait...very nice state park a few blocks from the ocean...and if you're traveling in summer (between Memorial Day and Labor Day), is an...
that means everyone from Sunskipper will be looking elsewhere to surf. i hope the Tiki Bar will retain enough of a bump to break...otherwise, we're all going to be out at the Pipe.
