I had heard the surfers around Neptune were ****s and you just proved it. Who cares about a screen name? What a troll and probably not a very good surfer. Even if you do rip, the vibe isn't good. ...

I don't get it. Swells were supposed to be 5'/11s. Fernandina, just north of Jax, was only sporting 2 footers today. The waves had some power, but were vertically challenged.
Hey! It's nice to know I'm setting my expectations a bit too high. Don't get me wrong though, I love going out everytime, even in the one footers, just for exercise you know ;) I don't know many...
I've been hitting the waves near Fernandina Beach, north of Jacksonville for a few months now, trying to learn how to sponge. Hold your giggles stick riders. :D My biggest problem I'm having is...
Just about anything that makes me feel good. When I feel good, I feel confident and surf better. I try to avoid anything negative as it puts me in a bad mood and tenses me up. Most of the time,...
So, judging from the responses, I guess no one has ever ventured out during one, except maybe Russ-D. Yeah, the newspeople were reporting at the beach and said their eyes and throat were burning...
Isn't this nice? We're starting to get some waves and this happens. :( The beach looks horrible from what I've seen on the newscast. It's extends from Fernandina Beach down towards St. Augustine....
I like the new page better. It has a fresher look to it and it brings more information that, if you didn't know to seek it out, would've most likely been overlooked. Good job.
I wanted to check out Santa Monica anyway so that'll work out good. Thanks for the response.
I can't tell you sh*t about Ft. Lauderdale, but I can tell you, if you're new to an area, you're going to have to find it yourself and then you're going to have to deal with the locals that are...
Hey! I'm going to LA for the first time and would like to know if anyone can suggest any decent breaks. Let me say though, anything over 4-5 feet is too much and I'm not terribly experienced, so I...

I feel for you 99. What do they do when the waters are flat? Call it off and reschedule or just cancel it all together?
Aaargh! Micah, is anything forming off Africa? I looked at some METEOSAT images and there seems to be some rotating disturbance there, but not being that knowledgeable about meteorloogy, I can't...
Fernandina Beach went off on Monday and I must admit it was a bit much (chest to head high) for my level of expertise, but the rest of the week was manageable. Best surf we've had in a few months. ...
Yesterday Jax was pretty choppy with little to ride, but today has been going off good. I saw some chest to head high sets, but there are too many swells going every which direction and it made...
Have fun and good luck.
Chop is still fun to be in, maybe a little dangerous, but you certainly learn how to handle yourself. Also, I think some of the different period swells will be more of a hindrance than the wind. As...
Ground swell! Need I say more?
N. Florida hasn't received much either. We've had some thigh-waist high sets that were fun enough, but nothing that you could really pull any tricks on. Time to move to west.
I'm relatively new to surfing and have been going to Florida, but I'd prefer to be able to catch some waves during the week. Is 5th St worth surfing or should I drive to Florida? Also, I know that...
Clean, knee to thigh morning swells. The afternoon died down a bit. Overall, better than it has been. I'm hoping Wednesday turns out as predicted. Things are looking up.
