For those of you who don't know Jim he used to make the best dang rash guards around, if you are a kite surfer he transitioned to making stuff for that, especially mounts for your go pro.

Kids change your outlook on things that is for sure, I have 2 kids now, my boy is 3 1/2 and my daughter is almost 9 months. There was a time I would drop/ditch anything when the swell was good, ...
Been to Jay Peak a couple times. It is hands down the best powder I have experienced on the east coast. As long as you can deal with all the French Canadians running around and stinking up the...
If I had Canon I would have the EF 400mm f/5.6L USM in my glass inventory. Drives me nuts that Nikon doesn't have a similar lens. The 300 2.8 was great, the only time I shot at 2.8 was at dawn and...
Nice to see someone taking the time to go and capture local swells, I hope it goes well for you.

I always make it a habit to take mine off before I go in the water, my fingers are boney and rings slip right off.
I have already lost my original wedding ring when our boat sank while out...
Don't just cover your camp fire with sand, put it out with water then leave it open for others to see so this doesn't happen to other people. I have come close to stepping on one before and would be...
Sibony just owns the land, nothing to do with the retail store, atleast thats the way I read it. Coastal Edge is pretty big down in VB, this would be a huge store, 9,615 sq ft. They sponsor a lot of...
You think OC can handle yet another surf shop?
Coastal Edge http://www.coastaledge.com/ is looking to muscle into the already crowded surf shop market in OC.

I am still around. Just between having a kid and losing $4000 in camera gear I stopped doing surf photography, the last pictures on the site are the last ones I ever took with that gear. Pretty...
Not Sharks, but I did notice a huge amount of rays in the water on Saturday, never seen so many schools of rays in the 2-3 hour time frame I was out down to Assateague.
They were all heading...
I was talking to a friend about this the other day, we both wondered if the gulf oil spill would push more sharks up this way looking for food.
Looks like a fun board for Assateague. $350 for a new board of that length is a great deal, I hope you end up liking it. Let us know how it rides.
I never heard or saw in the news the outcome of the case. Anyone have the latest?
I have the Verizon HTC 6800 with windows mobile 6.1, macromedia only goes up to flash player 7 for pocket pc, when I browse the site in opera mini it wont load the charts due to not having flash...
We were on a boat, which made it very difficult to get on the inside. Unfortunately its not a channel break where you can hang out on the side and get shots, you have waves coming at you from...
Added another video, this one shows Ocsurfnut on a nice Left, give you a better idea of the size out there.

If anyone decides to make the trip out to the shoals, PLEASE make sure you have all your safety gear ready to go, accidents do and will happen. Its not a place for the faint of heart, your going out...
look at the 2nd post.
Its a spot that hardly ever breaks off the coast of OC MD. Takes a good size swell for it to even work, and even then it takes a special swell direction and special winds.
The video link finally showed up, check it out.
As to what happened ocsurfnut's post (Stolen 6'6" Tuflite Bushman - Pancho Sullivan Model) touched on what happened.
Some footage of how the shoals work on a smaller swell:

Got a chance to go out to the shoals this past weekend. Got a few shots before our boating accident ruined my equipment.
Here are some of the better shots, the rest can be found at surfingoc.com....
