    seaside

After not being to seaside heights since I was probably 10 ... being 24 now ... I decided to drive up and scope out the place and see the sights last Sunday ... I've always thought the place was a dump and was I correct ... can't imagine how ****ty it is during the summer ... place looked like shiz in the winter ... I'm glad I live on lbi and not there ... I'm not knockin on the surrounding towns on that stretch of land but I hope to never go there ""right over the bridge, boardwalk area"" ever again ... unless I'm on a new episode of jersey shore

yes but the area to the immediate south of that $hithole to the end of the Island Beach is pretty solid.

Seaside Park and IBSP are pretty quiet, good food and beer, good surf (can you surf the park anymore though?? my buddy and i got kicked out a few yrs ago). Reminds me of LBI.

Seaside is where the Jersey Shore is filmed right? Gotta confess I get a kick out of watching that show. Most of the time I like seeing the panned out shots of the beach and I get a glance of nice rolling waves.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown of the NJ coastal/surfing area? I always hear names getting thrown down like LBI, Cape May, Atlantic City, Ocean City, etc.? This summer I'm contemplating a northeast trip with my wife. It would be ideal to drive along the coast, like PCH, but it sucks that you can't drive from Delaware to the southern tip of NJ.

I'm sure there are plenty of sights to see, it actually doesn't seem that bad to hit up the nightlife in the NJ area during the summer.

Nightlife in NJ is great, especially in those coastal cities and areas. Atlantic City/Brigantine/Margate aren't that great at all in terms of waves and swell.

some decent places to check out from north to south include Monmouth/point pleasant, seaside, southern end of lbi, and OCNJ/Cape May
