Chop is still fun to be in, maybe a little dangerous, but you certainly learn how to handle yourself. Also, I think some of the different period swells will be more of a hindrance than the wind. As the week progresses though, there seems to be less interference from small swells with the major wave producing one.
I just got in from Surfing Cocoa all day. It was crap, but fun mid morning at the Pier. And then down by ocean Sports Worl, where the contest was supposed to be, it was good after low tide. I'll be tomorrow will be realy fun North of the Cape. Cocoa should be good also, but the Swell is swinging wide into the Northern spots.
Yesterday Jax was pretty choppy with little to ride, but today has been going off good. I saw some chest to head high sets, but there are too many swells going every which direction and it made riding any of the waves tough. My level of experience became painfully obvious today, and I stress the painful part.
