I think we should start a craigslist alert thread. Surfboards pop up on CL all the time so it might be helpful for others looking.

i have asked this guy a few times about the dimensions of this board and he is totally clueless. he said, " i dunno its about 6 feet". also he provides really fuzzy phone pics. been on CL for a few weeks now.
i like wrv's and wouldn't mind offering this guy 50$ for it if he could give me the info im after.

I've never heard of this shaper, which is not surprising because I don't know much apart from the bigger shapers.
Lightening Bolt, mid-to-late 80's, probably not that valuable....yet. Still, that's a heck of a board for a steal of a price. I'd be interested in knowing who the shaper is.
The Bolt's from the 70's are very collectable now.
OK, I looked at the board again and see that it's an Eberly shape. Hold onto it. I'd use it for wall art, but I'm sure that board is really fun in the right conditions.
Maybe not as valuable as a Lopez shaped gun from the 70's ! Lighting bolts have surfaced that were foam signed by Lopez. If shaped by Lopez highly collectable and if not shaped by Lopez, still collectable. Lopez did attract skilled notable shapers of that era during their early years including the 80's. Some of the 80's Bolts could have been shaped by the likes of many including Rory Russell.
That's "Bolt's a keeperKudos to Mitchell for snapping it up. I'm sure others wished we were as lucky.
You younger guys who invest in the these collectable sticks will welcome the value in years to come as those makers and shapers are getting older while some are not with us any longer will create more demand and value.
