everything should be legal, period.
Drug use won't go up. Those that want to do it are all ready doing it. People prove time and time again that it's not that hard to get.
Focus money on rehab for those that need it.
And tax the hell out of it, but keep the price below black market values.
It would eliminate a lot of violence and crime and wasteful spending.

I was just saying if he lives in wrightsville and can get away with being a closed minded straight edge (which I guess he isnt), then to stay there because most people in other regions don't walk around preaching like that. the pot issue has been dead on the west coast for 25 years.

treatment is cheaper than incarceration. period. takes far more tax payers money to keep a guy in jail for one night, than for 2 to 3 weeks of rehab.
jail doesn't treat addiction. at all. most prisons have availa ble drugs within them, and 90% or crime comes from people on parole or with records.
if u treat addiction the way it should be treated, it is successful. sometimes.
but our tax money is being used to keep a bunch of drug users that got knocked for a nickle bag in jail every day. the money is ridiculous.
it takes upwards of 100k a year to take care of a state prison inmate.
something to think about.
if u can keep black market value the same as retail, crime comepletely stops. supply and demand. the long crack is illegal the longer people will have to steal to pay for it. us drugs are marked up like 5 million times over

Never smoked and never will. Got the education and and the job and surf year round. Don't waste your hard earned $ on drugs, save it for your next surf trip. I know I sound like a D.A.R.E. commercial... but if that's what you look forward to then I feel sorry for you.
