To the guy who said only like 1% are addicted like everyday smoke and the rest only like once a month. No offense, but I'd love to know where you grabbed that figure from. You must have blazed before you posted that so i'll be a little understanding. I used to smoke like everyday up until about five years ago(quit) and I'm not here to preach or anything, but way more than 1% of people smoke every day. There is no way statiscally speaking that I only hung out with those 1%, because everyone of my friends and people I came across smoked every day.
I hate to hog up another post, but I've heard alot of really dumb things mentioned on here. For instance "there are no recorded deaths from it". Maybe not from the guy or girl smoking up, but what about those that are killed in car accidents because the other driver was too stoned to be on the road. I also agree with those about it being horrible for your lungs as well. Just look at the inside of your peice(bong or bowl) the next time you blaze. That is what your lungs look like. I'm not hear to preach or tell anyone what to do. You wanna smoke be my guest, but please think before you post dumb information like this. You don't wanna be called a burnout, just like I didn't. I mean you have the luxury of thinking a little before your fingers hit the keyboard.
Cannabis actually doesn't permanently "injure" any of your neurological systems; any carbon based smoke is a carcinogen. However, cannabis has lower amounts of tar compared to tobacco. Cannabis is a drug and isn't benign, but it isn't as deleterious as people assume. Moderation is key in any recreational indulgence.

I have 2 rules about smoking weed and I told my son that he had better follow them or his ass it out on the street:
Rule# 1: NEVER smoke and drive.
Rule#2: If your grades suffer at all you're done smoking
(rule 2 will follow throughout his life--if he puts smoking above personal responsibility like work or family he can't expect any help from me).
My point was that driving under the influence of prescription narcotics is legal, even if you kill someone or yourself. The hypocrisy of our nations drug laws dictated by the pharmaceutical lobby.

I personally do not condone driving under the influence of drugs, but cannabis causes minor impairment compared to other substances.
