Move to Australia...min wage is 15 an hour. AND... the Aust. dollar is now stronger than the American dollar. Cost of living is decent and you can find "good" job anywhere. I'm just trying to save up the initial money for the visa and plane ticket, then, I'm there!!!

pharmaceutical rep= drug dealer $60,000+ per year
wherever there is doctors offices, pharm reps travel

    Buy a clam rake and go clammin= 50 cents per clam x 500 clams/day=$250/day
if you know who to sell clams to= $1/clam

speaking of clams....If you live in AC and are a nice shaved female= BareExposure strip club =$150-$300/night

im actually next year enrolling in the local community college and becoming a paramedic. even though the class is a brutal class and so forth when i graduate depending on if i pass the tests cuz you gotta get an 80 on every test im guaranteed a job right out of the box. and even though ill be 18 when i become certified i can work as a lifeguard and get paid more. and then when im 21 which is NC's law you gotta be 21 to be a paramedic cuz everyone has to be able to drive the truck i can start off making 40000 a year. plus ill work some days on some days off and so on.

Not too positive on cost of living but things over there are way more expensive to buy.

Many times I check the surf on the way to school and see glassy surf and empty lineups. So it's afternoons and weekends... and the occasional, strategic sick day.
What do you do in Public Education? Depending your hours, you most definitely could get in DPs and there are tons of breaks during the fall/winter/spring to surf or travel.

yes, min wage is high but so is cost of living. $50 au for a case of beer, u ready for that? everything there is approx 150% more expensive. good jobs? not really, more like entry level jobs only(i must say it was shocking to see hot young women working at mcdonalds). any visa ur gonna be able to get will only let u stay there for a max of 1 year. if u wanted to do it on a budget and by yourself, you could easily make it happen. however, i feel like if u were that kinda person you wouldnt be asking this kind of advice. do it!!

I live 15 minutes away from the beach... not extremely close or anything but it's close enough. But I'm lucky enough to have a part-time job at a surf shop that is on WB so in the summer (when I actually do make a decent buck) i'll just surf before work, work my shift (usually never longer than 5-6 hours) surf after work.

During this time of the year during school I have adopted FLEX schedule, where I wake up extra early, and finish school an hour and a half earlier. I can't do dawn patrols but in the winter who does? I would have at least 2 hours after school to surf even during the shortest days of the year, now I can surf 4 plus hours since it's daylight savings....

But I always plan my trips with a surf in mind.... you have to organize your day in order to fit in as many surf sessions into the shortest amount of time... be on top of the weather and swell
