    Same swell will bring waves to CR during the week when I'm there.

    Where in CR? I'm almost certain that just beyond the 3x overhead beach break...a 6 ft point break heaven is hiding somewhere. go find it!

    Puntarenas area. Trip with the wife, so it's not like I was gonna get to surf 24/7 anyway, but I'll look for more protected spots.

    DUDE if you are in puntarenas when the big waves come you better carry that a55 down to pavones! Its big but not deadly (or as deadly) as you may think. Its so organized and perfect that a lot of the obstacles from east coast surfing do not exist (i.e. closeouts, double-ups, surprise sets, etc). Get you some.

    Your in the perfect spot...Puntarenas is tucked way up in the bay and the left points nearby take a big swell to fire. you should score there on a solid SW.

    Didn't mean to turn this into a CR thread but...Yeah, I'll be making my way up the central coast, from Jaco and northwards. Looks like a good size swell, and it'll start showing up the middle of next week. Definitely way out of my league unless I find a sheltered spot that turns on.image

    So many sheltered spot where you will be!!! Man I wish I were in your shoes next week.. Either way the beachies will be closed out and the points will be going off!! I know a few spots that I would like to catch on a swell like this one coming... Too bad I wont be back there for a few more weeks... You like to go Left???
