Does anyone have an opinion on a father being part of the judging process at a surf tournament while his son is also a competitor?

the father definitely, without a doubt, shouldn't be a judge in his son's heats. Its probably fine for hime to judge other heats, but would need to be swapped out during his son's heats.

My thoughts exactly. If I were the father, or the son I would not have it any other way.
