Harvey Cedars has some giant cliffs. The first 20 feet or so of dunes has washed away...its a start. It is breaking better there but still far from what is used to be...no rock groins are exposed....yet

Ya and the irony here is that the feds, state, and county just spent some $25 million combined on the replenishment project that was finished last year. It royally srewed up some great breaks. For that much money maybe they'd be better off to just buy their own dredge because its only a matter of time before they throw more money at what they percieve as a problem. For what its worth though Irene has "undone" some of the damage created by the Army Corps last year. Here's to more storms, sandbars forming, and old spots coming back.

LBCrew.....hopefully their plans got pushed because of all the other issues that have risen since the storm. No doubt that eventually they will screw everything up AGAIN, but you may have this fall to enjoy the way it should have been all along.

yeah for the most part they're right. harvery cedars had this humungous dune from the beach replenishment and all the water from the storm eroded the front part away. up in loveladies theres a pretty big drop off from where the water pushed to the dune, but idk about 14 feet
