neon green slime in ocean

surfing mon. county and there was neon green slime puddles out in the ocean. very weird... didn't come into the line up, but very visible.

anyone know what it was??

It's an algae bloom fed by the huge influx of nutrients that ran off the land during Irene. Part of this is the overflow of raw sewage from wastewater treatment plants that dumped as their capacity was exceeded.

It was green dye from ABC's traditional labor day weekend celebration if observed on Sunday 9/4 afternoon

also fed by massive agricultural runoff. frankly I'm surprised we haven't seen more of this in the Chesapeake...or maybe we have and it just hasn't broken the news yet.

As stated above, Green Dye from ABC's Labor Day event. It started heading northbound into Deal not long after from all the south wind. Or it could have been liquid kryptonite thrown in to shield the super powers of Katia from a direct hit? Seems to have worked.

Its from the Green Horned Frog Empire in Middle Earth. They are waging a secret war with our Govt as we look to drill for oil reserves...there only defense is this green slime...very sad.
