What do you all use to attach your leash to? The little rope I have been using for like a year finally broke here recently and all I had to use was part of an old shoestring and that has broke twice. Getting tired of swimming to shore for my board and was wondering if anyone knew of a surefire way to keep the leash attached to it without worry. Thanks in advance.
Two lines on leash plug. Good watermen also swim if you have to. A while back they did not have those leashes. You shold also check and replace any worn equipment on a daily basis. On this coast I don't any long swims.
Oh... and see the way those plugs are installed. That's wrong, IMO. I can't understand why you'd put the plugs in with the bar parallel to the stringer, especially when they're off the stringer. Think about how that bar takes the load... a different amount of force is applied to each end of the bar. If you put the plug in with the bar perpendicular to the stringer, the force is distributed evenly across the bar.
