Open Letter to Swellinfo

Dear Friends,

Oh my where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday that I created my profile...wait it pretty much was yesterday. It has honestly been a lot of fun messing with all of you and I will cherish our time together. Here are a few simple observations from my time on this forum.

1.) Pretty much all of you are kooks. You do not hesitate in the slightest to throw that word out at someone else but in essence every last one of you is a giant dork. All of the posts I read and responses I received only reaffirm my belief. All of you rave about \"spitting coldwater barrels\" but I would honestly be surprised if more than 1% of you actually knows how to even pull into one.

2.) Ease up a little. You guys are so quick to jump on someone who doesn't meet your definition of a surfer. Granted the character I created was extremely douchy but relax. All of you act like my being on your forum was detrimental to surfing itself...okay maybe it was. I mean you guys even jumped on the music I said I listened to then someone had the audacity to say a Nickleback song pumped them up. The band manes and songs on that thread were hilarious and majority of them were only about a half notch better than any of the bands I suggested jokingly.

3.) You're really not that cool. All of you on here seriously act like you’re the top 20 surfers on the East Coast. Real surfers don't check surf forums twenty times a day. That's pretty dorky if you ask me. Now I know you're going to say \"Then why were you on here Sandytoes?\" Well long story short, I've been coming here to check the reports for awhile now and curiosity got the best of me. You people even made fun of my name and you have names like \"epicbeachbreak\" floating around. Come on, who are you kidding? You all talk a big game on this site but I bet in the line-up all of you get pretty quiet when a local heavy paddled around you.

In short please get off this forum and surf. This is probably the lamest thing I have ever been a part of in my life. I can only imagine the responses I receive to this. I'm sure there is going to be lots of \"We don't want you here anyways\" and \"Kook.\" I am sure that one or two members will try to break down this entire letter point by point and attempt to eloquently refute every topic. Rebuttal all you want friends but the truth is the truth. Don't let your meat loaf.

P.S . You people constantly mention Pipe and how \"They would take care of your kook ass.\" If any of you have any real knowledge and weren't inundated with cheesy surf movies and inflated stories you would know it's a great place. They are the warmest people I have ever made friends with. Please speak from experience, not ignorance. Oh and for those that are going to say \"Well I've been there\", shut up. No you haven't.

This does bring up an interesting topic...how many people on this forum actually surf descently and how many are delusional about being a good surfer? I would say maybe 20% on this site surf well, the rest are a product of being an east coast surfer that lives too far from the beach, inconsistent surf and doesnt have the chance to get good...just a fact.

Oh ripturbo. You're obviously the dumb one of the forum. The whole frat thing was shtick my friend. It was never hard feelings at all. The comeents I recieved were anticipated. I am in complete awe though by you calling yourself a "local heavy." Who does that, especially on an internet surf forum? You may as well get a tattoo on your forehead saying "Look at me!!! I am a giant walking douche. Literally. I am a twice used douche, walking around on two legs. Pay attention to me! Respect me!" Honestly from my experience the guys who claim local satus so adamently are the ones who aren't really that good themselves so they hide behind the rippers and act as a filmer or photog or even a hype man.
