There's a dedicated and truly hard core crew out on the Great Lakes. They're already calculating which side of the lake to surf, and also which town has the jetty that will hold the swell and offer shelter from the wind.
In the upper right, near the tip of mainland Michigan, it shows wave heights of 9ft. Looking at a map, that spot looks like its about 25 miles off shore. I know the wind will be blowing hard, but is 25 miles enough of a fetch to produce 9ft waves?
